Ideally, we should be looking after ourselves year round. But I totally get that some comfort eating and drinking starts to creep in when the days are shorter and the nights are cooler.
What we really need at this time of year is a little circuit breaker to stop the cycle of overeating and making less than great food choices.

This is really a baseline version of how we think you should everyday, all year round, with some wiggle room for life. It’s not super restrictive, doesn’t eliminate carbs or fat, but it does focus on heaps of plant foods and only real food.
It’s also a reminder of appropriate portion size. Remember: half your plate is veggies, then a portion of carbs the size of your fist and a portion of protein the size of your palm.
